Film submission fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including:
-
Withdrawal of a film after submission;
-
Failure to meet eligibility or technical requirements;
-
Non-selection of the film by the festival jury.
Submission fees cover administrative costs related to the evaluation process, and not the outcome of the selection.

3. Accreditation and Event Passes
-
Passes purchased for screenings, panels, or ceremonies are refundable only if the event is officially canceled by the festival.
-
If an event is rescheduled, the ticket or pass will remain valid for the new date.
-
Requests for refund due to personal scheduling conflicts or travel issues are not eligible for reimbursement.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction.
4. Workshops and Cinema Education Programs
For educational workshops or Cinema Education events:
-
Full refunds will be granted if the cancellation request is received at least 14 days before the start of the workshop.
-
Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the event are non-refundable, except for documented medical or emergency reasons.

If the event is canceled by AmiCorti, a full refund will be automatically issued.
Requests must be submitted to education@amicorti.org with proof of registration and payment.

Refund Policy - The Basics
AmiCorti International Film Festival A.P.S.
At AmiCorti International Film Festival, we aim to provide fair and transparent terms for all participants, partners, and attendees.
Please read the following basic refund rules that apply to our festival activities.
What to Include in the Refund Policy
A Refund Policy should clearly explain when and how users are entitled to receive a refund, under what conditions refunds are not allowed, and the procedures to request one.
Below is the full structure
1. Purpose of the Policy
Explain what the Refund Policy covers, e.g.:
This policy applies to all payments made to AmiCorti International Film Festival A.P.S., including film submissions, ticket sales, educational workshops, and sponsorship contributions.
The introduction should highlight transparency and fairness, while clarifying that the organization operates without profit but must cover administrative costs.
2. Film Submission Fees
This is essential for all film festivals.
State clearly that:
-
Submission fees are non-refundable once a film is submitted.
-
The fee covers administration and selection processing, not acceptance into the festival.
-
Refunds are only possible in case of duplicate payments or technical errors, upon proof and timely notice.
3. Event Tickets & Passes
If AmiCorti offers tickets, festival passes, or special event access, you should define:
-
Refunds will be granted only if the event is canceled by the organizer.
-
If an event is rescheduled, the ticket remains valid for the new date.
-
Refunds are not available for personal reasons (travel issues, illness, etc.).
4. Workshops and Cinema Education Programs
Because you run educational programs, include:
-
A deadline for refund eligibility (e.g., full refund up to 14 days before the start).
-
After that deadline, payments are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by AmiCorti.
-
Instructions for requesting refunds (email contact, proof of payment).
5. Sponsorships and Donations
If you receive sponsorships, partnership contributions, or donations:
-
Make clear that such contributions are non-refundable, as they support cultural and educational projects.
-
In case of contract-based sponsorship, reference that terms are defined in the signed agreement (MoU or contract).
6. Force Majeure Clause
Include a statement that covers events beyond your control:
AmiCorti International Film Festival A.P.S. will not be held liable for cancellations or modifications caused by events such as natural disasters, public emergencies, pandemics, or government restrictions.
In these cases, the festival may reschedule or move online rather than provide refunds.
7. Refund Procedure
Explain how to request a refund:
-
Contact email: finance@amicorti.org
-
Required information:
-
Full name
-
Proof of payment (receipt or transaction ID)
-
Reason for refund request
-
-
Refunds are processed within 30 working days if approved.
8. Currency and Payment Method
Specify that:
-
All refunds are made in the same currency and payment method used for the original transaction.
-
AmiCorti is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations or bank fees.
9. Time Limit for Requests
Set a time limit (usually 10–14 days after payment) to submit a refund claim in eligible cases.
10. Policy Updates
End by noting that the Refund Policy may be updated at any time, with the last revision date shown at the bottom of the page.
🕊️ Example Closing Note
This Refund Policy aims to ensure transparency and fairness for all participants and supporters of AmiCorti International Film Festival A.P.S., while sustaining the festival’s cultural mission and non-profit activities.
